It's official: the man Pete Dafeet is back and he means business! His previous EP for us (The Afterlife EP - SUPREMUS010) ended up reaching the Deep House Top 20 and became our biggest-seller of 2016, so we are delighted to have him back. As usual with Pete, quality is key and here's 3 tracks of timeless deep and groovy House Music like only he can make. And if that wasn't enough, we have also got Nottingham legend Nail on remix duties: the man responsible for classic 90s House classics on DIY Discs and Classic or 'Magic Love' and 'Swollen' (as part of legendary duo Bent) has reworded the title track and we are super happy to welcome him on board.
Drum 4 U (KR Tripping) starts the EP off with that classic Pete Dafeet sound: great arrangement, melodies, swingy drum programming and spoken word samples! One that will no doubt find a good place on everyone's USB stick.
Vanguard Melody has been a highlight of Giom's DJ sets ever since it reached his inbox a few months back. Reminiscent of some of Pete's best work on Lost My Dog Records, this one is all about the dance floor: classic Detroit meets UK.
Here comes the jackin' Nail Remix. Mr Tolliday takes us onto a 7+ min journey straight to heart of 90s Nottingham. Reworking the drums and adding a super sexy new bass line, Nail eventually re-introduces the original synth riff. This is dubby jackin' music at its finest.
Finally, Dub 4 U (Lost In Translation) closes the EP. Hablamos Espanol / No Hablamos Ingles is the recurring phrase here. But who cares when you can jack! One for the late night sets.
