Embark on an ultimate house music journey as the legendary David Morales unveils his latest full length release, 'SUNDAY MASS Vol. 1.' This 14-track LP to be released in early 2024 shows Morales's unparalleled ability to craft powerfully emotional work while consistently delivering house music gems. As the record unfolds, a rich tapestry of sounds emerges, seamlessly blending deep house, gospel and soulful influences with smooth house vibes as well as tech house and melodic techno elements. Morales skillfully crafts an immersive experience, not only through his masterful production skills but through collaboration with top notch singers and other producers. The album begins with 'Father,' a marvelous, gospel-infused beatless introduction that immerses listeners with such emotions featuring legendary singers Janice Robinson, Kenny Bobien, Melonie Daniels, Toshi, Keith Anthony Fluitt and Nicki Richards. Strings, organ and piano build up a crescendo of pure bliss. As we move to the second track, an unmistakable David Morales house beat comes into play, with 'Rolling Stone'' featuring an irresistible, epic, and dreamy groove. Here, Morales with Tamra Keenan on vocals creates a track that is destined to become a dance floor anthem, merging house beats with a soaring musical instrumentation featuring keys by the legendary Nigel Lowis. Following this uplifting vibe, 'My Everything' takes it to an even more positively charged vibe, this time with Angelica De No on the vocals. An enthralling rhythm and explosive groove create a track that exudes happiness and an infectious energy. Next up in collaboration with Brazilian DJ, producer DJ Meme and Antoinette Dunleavy, 'Love Takes 2' is all about the musical journey that encompasses the new with the old. Featuring the soaring vocals of Antoinette Dunleavy beautiful orchestrations and rhythm makes this into an iconic classic song. The fifth track 'Do What You Love' is centered on soulful elements, with Georgia Cee on vocal duties here. With an extraordinarily funky bass, Morales infuses the track with an irresistible energy, creating a dynamic experience that urges listeners to move and groove. Then, as funky as it gets Morales gets down with Slikk Tim on 'Bring the Funk' featuring a pounding beat, live bass, guitar and funkadelic inspired parts. Slikk Tim's input adds an extra layer of funk, showcasing Morales's exploration of diverse sounds within the house genre. Transitioning into 'Theory,' Morales introduces smooth house vibes, marvelous piano work, and hypnotic beats. This composition envelops listeners in soul-soothing melodies, creating a flow that showcases Morales's mastery in crafting immersive musical experiences. And the smoothness is not finished here, up next 'So High' combines neo soul like vocal harmonies by Lea Lorien driven by a wicked percussion beat and soothing keys. Next we have 'Azaphola'. Here Morales teams up with DJ, producer Dino Mfu and South Africa's legendary singer Toshi. 'Azaphola' offers a melancholic and trippy vocal combined with a dreamy electronic musical journey. The album takes an unexpected turn with 'India,' a deep dive into the fabulous East. Oriental sonorities merge with a melodic techno input, creating an entrancing atmosphere that prepares for the LP's diverse sonic landscape. Following we have 'The Whistle Funk' that boasts a tech house beat, thrilling percussive work, and organ solos that elevate the track to dancefloor killer status. Another brilliant example of the variety of sounds you find on 'Sunday Mass Vol. 1'. 'Into the Groove' follows delivering a sound closer to Morales's previous iconic house music work. The enthralling house beat and groovy bass, complemented by joyous chord progressions and a gospel philly touch features the sensual vocals of Georgia Cee. As the album is slowly coming to an end, David Morales throws in another unique hit - we could say that 'Alive', featuring the enchanting vocals of Antoinette Dunleavy, encapsulates the essence of the album, delivering a powerful and atmospheric soulful house journey with incredible quality and artistry. We are then at the last track of this journey: 'Back In The Zone' with the legendary Tony Touch is a hypnotic blend of bass, steady hi-hats with hip-house vocals, magnetically going back to the mantra 'back in the zone'. 'Sunday Mass Vol. 1' is a testament to David Morales's enduring influence on the global electronic music scene, showcasing his ability to craft diverse and captivating tracks that span the whole spectrum of house music.
