After years with 'Everything Counts' and several releases on prestigious labels, Chris makes his debut as a solo producer and DJ with 'Wanguissa', produced in collaboration with Jo Choneca. The single, a fusion of African rhythms, amapiano, and jazz, is inspired by the Bantu culture, specifically referencing the meaning of 'Wanguissa' in the Xisena language: 'unity is strength'. The track also highlights elements such as the figure of the 'Mambo', the visionary leader, and the role of the drum. Chris states, 'With Jo, we gave our best.'
